Mark Cameron, the founder and owner of the business, got his start as a general labourer for
a large construction company in Toronto, ON almost two decades ago. That’s where Mark
initially discovered his passion for building and creating structures from the ground up. Early
on in his career, Mark realized the importance of quality and reliability in construction projects
first hand, which ultimately led to plans to start a company of his own. Handling every aspect
of the build from start to finish, allows Mark to control the quality of each stage of the project,
maintaining the complete integrity of the structure.
Mark moved to Muskoka over a decade ago in pursuit of fulfilling his dream of starting a custom home building company in one of the most beautiful regions in Canada.

Our passion at Cameron Contracting is building beautiful, high quality custom homes and cottages to perfectly suit our clients’ needs and make their dreams come true. We are pleased to take projects from start to finish, handling every aspect of the build, offering our clients a stress-free turnkey experience. While we love taking on large projects that stretch our imaginations and allow us to tackle new obstacles, no job is too small for us. We do everything from renovations and additions, to boathouses, and new build management and construction. We serve a diverse client base with a variety of needs, but no matter how large or small the project, we strive to please our customers.

When you hire Cameron Contracting, you get Mark Cameron on every jobsite leading the operation. At most large operations, you don’t know who you are hiring! At many of our competitors, you may meet with the president or manager of the business, but they will likely have numerous builds on the go and will not closely supervise your project. Our clients know that the founder and president of Cameron Contracting will closely oversee their project.
